加計学園のアジアオンライン大学とは――

　学校法人加計学園が設置した「アジアオンライン大学」は、加計学園が設置する大学の通信教育課程の総称で、2025年4月、岡山理科大学にフルオンラインの学士課程を開設しました。日本とアジア各国をオンラインで結び、通信教育を通じて国際的な人的交流と教育を推進します。海外に在住する学生の大学卒業資格取得、日系企業への就職支援を本格的に行う教育機関としては日本初となります。学長は俳優で元千葉県知事の森田健作氏が務めます。

　アジアオンライン大学の設立目的は、少子化による日本の労働力不足の課題に対応し、日本人が培ってきた経験やノウハウをアジア各国の若者に伝えることで、人的交流を深めることにあります。この大学が提供する教育プログラムでは、情報技術を核とする数理的な知識・技能を身につけるとともに、情報システム、情報工学、デジタルゲーム、プログラム開発、データサイエンス、AI、機械・電子工学、ユニバーサルデザインといった領域・分野を学ぶことができます。就学期間中、これら単なる学問の習得にとどまらず、日本のビジネス習慣や礼儀、実務スキルを学ぶ機会を提供することも重視されています。

　募集定員は200名、初年度入学者の約3分の1は外国人学生です。受け入れ国はウズベキスタン、ミャンマー、インドネシア、バングラデシュ、ベトナム、中国、タイ、カンボジアなど8カ国に及び国際的な学習環境が形成されています。

学費は、来日して日本の大学で学ぶ場合の約４分の１（35万円）に設定されており、経済的負担が少ないことも特徴です。また、2年間母国で就学した後、一定の条件を満たした場合、来日して、通信制課程から通学制に転籍することも可能です。

Asia Online University

〇 Outline
Asia Online University is a general term of the Distance Education Program at universities that Kake Educational Institution established. A full online　university degree program started within Okayama University of Science in April 2025. By connecting Japan and countries all over　Asia, this program promotes international education and exchange between people　through distance education. This is the first educational organization that offers students residing overseas the opportunity to acquire a university degree and strongly supports employment at Japanese companies.

〇 Purpose
The purpose for establishing this university is to strengthen human exchange by allowing youth in Asia to understand the skills and experience cultivated by the Japanese people, which in turn will support the labor shortage in Japan resulting from the declining younger population. The educational programs offered by online universities allow students to acquire mathematical knowledge and skills centered on information technology, while also learning across fields such as "Information Systems," "AI Technology," "Business Data Science." and "Digital Games and Media," The program not only emphasizes academics but also focuses on the importance of Japanese business manners/etiquette and the opportunity to learn hands-on skills.

〇 Student demographics
Maximum enrollment is 200; one-third of the first year being international students. The program provides an international environment with students from the eight countries of Uzbekistan, Myanmar, Indonesia, Bangladesh, Vietnam, China, Thailand, and Cambodia.

〇 Academic fees/transfer
Academic fees are approximately one-fourth (JPY350,000) of what a student would pay if studying in Japan; a money saver that is also a feature of this program. Also, a student that completes two years in the Distance Education Course in his/her country may transfer to the commuter program in Japan having passed certain criteria.
